The Virtual Vault is a new addition to Enterprise Vault 8.0.3. There is not a lot of documentation on it as seen by looking through the knowledge base. One thing I get asked a lot is how to add the a second virtual vault to the Outlook folder list. Such as when you give permissions to another vault to a selected user. These are the steps that work for me.

1. Open The Administration console on the EV server.

2. Navigate to "Policies->Exchange->Desktop

3. Open the " Default Exchange Desktop Policy" or whatever the name of your policy.

4. Go to the "Advanced" tab.

5. Change the "List settings from:" drop down to "Vault Cache".

6. Modify the "Synchronize archive types" to "All mailbox and shared archives".

7. Select "OK" and keep selecting "OK" until you are back to the Admin console.
