Recently Cornerstone participated in "Symantec Partner Day" an event that allows partners to show their "stuff" before the sales personnel at Symantec. Partners such as Cornerstone to were asked to explain their "value-add" to Symantec internal sales and the various departments. You might say it's like business networking focused on Symantec's massive sales force. Needless to say we "wowed" them and here's why..
When it was our turn to speak our President Frank Velasquez stepped up to the podium and gave the usual "who we are" and "what were about" speech (the first image below). Frank then provided a presentation slide showing some of our various customers. Then he stopped and let everyone know we had a surprise for them, and with that he handed it over to our new engineering Director Eugene Alfaro. Eugene spent some time talking about our engineering services and then it was time for the surprise. Eugene had previously sent out a general invitation to many of our customers and asked if they would be willing to participate in a panel discussing their experience with Cornerstone Technologies in an online meeting using cameras. Crazy right? Who would ask their customers to publicly speak about them candidly? The crazy part is all of them accepted and he actually had to tell some of them that they could not attend because we did not have enough time.
In the presentation Eugene let the audience know that he wasn't going to go on about how great we were in fact he believed that it would be best to let our customers say it for themselves (the second image below) and with that we conferenced in 6 of our customers ranging from Directors of IT to CIO's and then asked them some general questions about their experience with Cornerstone and what they thought of us. Each got their chance to talk and needless to say they it was all good.
What better sales pitch could we have than our customers (high level execs) taking time from their day to join a conference call and speak with 40 to 50 of Symantec's Sales managers to tell them about us. How thankful we were that they were so gracious and willing to expound on our virtues.
It's our customers that motivate us to be good at what we do so that we can give them the high level of service they all deserve
