Cornerstone Technologies, a wholly owned subsidiary of Sonasoft Corp, guides and enables business professionals and technologists to discover, migrate and manage data and compute workloads. We design, implement and deliver long term support.
Frank Velasquez
President/CEO
Frank leads Cornerstone Technologies with over 20 years of experience in business and technology sales leadership gained at companies such as AVCOM Technologies, Veritas, and Symantec Corporation. The portfolio of early startup companies Frank drove results for include: PIC Systems (acquired by Ingram Books), Azor Inc. (acquired by Tescom), and Web Harbor a subsidiary of AVCOM Technologies. Frank’s relentless desire to achieve is unparalleled, but what really makes him an asset to our customers is his exceptional drive to achieve goals and his high ethical standards. Frank’s desire to maintain his high-principles while conducting business, was the motivation to start Cornerstone Technologies. His leadership has built a knowledgeable and experienced team to ensure our skillful expertise in the solutions that we offer. Frank holds a Bachelor of Science from California State University, Hayward. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and their 5 children. He can also be found on the golf course, coaching soccer, or running (at the park, in his neighborhood, at the beach).
Eugene Alfaro
CTO & VP of Engineering Services
Eugene brings over 17 years of IT leadership experience to Cornerstone Technologies, and represents Cornerstone as a member of the Citrix Partner Technical Expert Council (PTEC). Eugene’s true passion is helping customers achieve their end goals faster and more accurately by staying on the cusp of technological advancements. From designing and speaking at conferences about VOiP architecture in VPIN environments in 1999, to achieving 82% virtualization in 2005, Eugene has a proven history of adopting and adapting new technologies before they are mainstream. What really drives Eugene is directing our customers to the best customized solution. Recently, Eugene authored articles for Tech Target, a leading global technology media company. Eugene studied Computer Science at San Jose State University. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his wife, two beautiful children, and his Pitbull Terriers. He also can be found cruising on his motorcycle in search of new sources of well-prepared “cabeza” and “lengua.”
Dennis Sherwood
VP of Sales and Business Development
Dennis brings 20 years of sales and leadership experience to Cornerstone Technologies. From the early days of tech at Pacific Bell to his previous position at Dell, Dennis has front-line experience within every facet of the environments our customers face. Dennis’s expertise makes him the ideal person to help customize solutions and services for our customers. On top of his impressive work history with other well-known companies such as Quest and AT&T, Dennis holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, Advertising and Masters of Business Administration, Marketing from California State University, Fresno. In his free time Dennis enjoys time with his wife and trying to keep pace with his three grown daughters.
Jim Plutchak
VP Finance
Jim brings over 20 years of business experience to Cornerstone’s management team. Jim’s leadership at PIC Business Systems deploying inventory control systems nation-wide, as well as his 15 years as the owner of San Jose Christian Supply gives him both a large and small business perspective. Jim’s background positions him to uniquely lead Cornerstone Technologies in Finance and Operations as we grow, while keeping us on stable ground. Jim holds his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Liberty University. In his spare time, Jim enjoys raising Goldens and Labradors and spending time with his wife and grown children.
